The M A  Cook Corporation was formed in 2000 by Owner Melissa A. Cook.  Melissa has over 30 years experience in the high tech industry in senior Melissa Cook 2010management positions in systems engineering, consulting practice management, worldwide customer service, global product marketing and corporate level enterprise architecture.  After graduating with a Computer Science Degree in 1979 from the University of Washington, Melissa enjoyed 20 years with the Hewlett-Packard Company in the formative years of the distributed computing industry.  Her career also includes 10 years as a senior management consultant and 4 years at Microsoft, most recently as Senior Director and Global Industry Lead for Microsoft Dynamics at Microsoft Corporation.  Melissa is well known internationally in the field of enterprise architecture and has significant experience with their use in the Board Rooms at Fortune 500 corporations and large public sector organizations.  She writes opinions for ComputerWorld, is a contributor to Forbes Magazine and is the author of the book “Building Enterprise Information Architectures” published by Prentice-Hall which has been used in graduate and undergraduate courses at over 50 universities worldwide.  She is also a guest lecturer and panel participant at universities including Seattle U and the University of Washington.
